Who is She?
The Virtuous Wife
Who can find a Virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies,
The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
so he will have no lack or gain.
She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
She seeks wool and Flax,
And willingly works with her hands.
She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.
She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.
She considers a field and buys it;
From her profits she plants a vineyard.
She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms.
She perceives that her merchandise is good,
And her lamp does not go out by night.
She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.
She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.
Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all."
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a women who fears the LORD, she
shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in
the gates.
Proverbs 31:10-31
Are you anything like her? Can you aleast say I do that to, if so you have the characteristics
of this Virtuous Woman. She does shine far brighter than other rubies, because her Heart
desire is to Aim to please the Master first.
Many women in our today society want to please themselves. Not that they don't have
a mind for Christ,but they want what they want. If this is you, your definitely a
little ruby. What makes her shine brighter is her Commitment to the LORD,
to do as he wishes and not as she does. This may mean she doesn't go and pick
her mate and ask God to approve of him. She may be a women who have
lost her Job, But have asked God for specific instructions how to prosper her
household, instead of boosting and stealing and declaring this is what is right.
She may be a women who is challenged by her finances, but have allowed
GOD to teach her that she can keep her beauty, her clothes, and appearance
still intact if she learns to shop less and create from home. If she miss one
hair appointment she is still beautiful, maybe it's time to learn how to groom
her own hair to save money for herself. Take notice she was a woman who had
her own money to purchase land, how many women can say they can do that
without the help of a man. She then planted a vineyard without any arguments
from her husband. Because he trusts her, he's impressed by how well she conducts
her business,household and wifely duties, so much that others have noticed and have
called him blessed to have this Virtuous Women. Society places a large
price on her because she is very rare. But this does not means many of
you are not her. So the next time, you get up early and prepare a meal
for your family and guest, see yourself as that ruby, or when you decide
to help the poor, because you are already blessed, or run warm bath water
for your own husband, when he comes in from work consider yourself
as that ruby. Maybe through all that you do hidden you will one day
shine brighter than all those other rubies!!
